Montessori education is both a method and a philosophy based on 45 years of observation and work with children..
The Montessori approach used by Sri Ayesha begins with the acknowledged potential of each child and provides for cognitive, physical and spiritual development through a specially prepared environment.
The teacher at Sri Ayesha prepares the environment, directs the activity but it is the child who learns, who is motivated through work him/herself.
Self motivation allows the children to learn at their own speed, according to their own capacities and in a non-competitive atmosphere.
Character formation cannot be taught.
It comes from experience and not from explanation.Method's implementation
Sri Ayesha is taking a bold implementation of its teaching methodology starting with level 1 students. The aim is to externalize the sense of liberty and freedom among children in acquiring knowledge. Slowly but surely, the teacher will 'step back' and allow children to take control of their daily routine based on certain responsibilities agreed upon between them.
The children will self-learn through environment prepared by teachers. The teacher will scientifically observes and facilitates the children learning experience.
